CINEWORLD
I've just directed a spot for Cineworld which is set to play in all of their cinemas for a year - that's longer than any movie they show! I'm extremely excited to see my work on the big screen which is what it was designed for.
This 80 second film sees actor Johnny Flynn journey through various cinematic landscapes. A mixture of rear screen projection, practical effects and stunning set design by James Hamilton was used to create the illusion that we were within a "movie world". I wanted the camera and lighting to homage the types of movies we were travelling through. It's a sweeping, elegant moving camera that hopefully feels cinematic and was executed by the brilliant DOP Paul Mackay.
The score was composed by the magnificent Dominic Sewell and has a wealth of detail to make each scene unique giving the film a real sense of grandeur.
Overall, I am dead proud of the result!
